Participating in the study Building Resilience in Public Safety
Employees from the participating agencies are invited to participate in our research study. We will provide an Invitation Letter for each of the steps/activities as the timelines approach.
For the resilience courses, employees can choose to participate in one or more of these courses and there are no prerequisites.
Step 1: Psychological Health and Wellbeing Survey
The online psychological health and wellbeing survey is now closed.
Step 2: Courses in Resilience
Three online courses in resilience will be offered April 15 – August 9, 2024. We will send out a Invitation Letter through your agency closer to the date of roll out.
You can take any of these courses, and in any order (there are no prerequisites). Prior to taking the course, you will be asked to fill in an anonymous online survey that is specific to the course that you have chosen.
Information about the 3 resilience courses (Individual, Family, Workplace resilience) can be found here.
Frequently asked questions about the resilience courses are found here:
Step 3: Follow-up Survey
Follow-up surveys will be given 1-month after you complete the course. These online surveys take about 10 minutes. The invitation letter with the survey link will be sent via email.
Step 4: Project completion survey
Participants can fill in a final online survey at the end of the project. This survey will occur in the Fall of 2024.
